01

Objective

Give an Abuja infrastructure, engineering, mining and agro-processing company a website that explains what the company does, shows its leadership and partners, and presents its flagship project clearly, while giving search engines the structure they need to understand and index it.

02

Strategy

The site was split by search intent instead of putting everything on one page:

  • Home page = company profile. What the company does, its business areas, group companies, services, sustainability approach, leadership, technical partners and contact details.
  • Projects page = one project. The National Food City Complex, with its fact sheet, delivery model, picture slider, concept walkthrough gallery and a project FAQ.
  • Brand taken from the client's own letterhead. The logo, colour palette and contact details were extracted from the letterhead so the site matches printed documents.
  • Client facts only. All project figures came from material the client supplied. Where figures in the source material disagreed, the more conservative one was used and the conflict was flagged to the client for confirmation.
03

Budget

A fixed-scope project, quoted in advance. Hosting and domain renewal were quoted as separate line items. Pricing details are shared with prospective clients on request.

04

Execution

Work handled directly by Alade Web & SEO:

  • Two-page responsive website (company profile and project page)
  • Logo extraction, brand colours and favicon set built from the client's letterhead
  • Page titles, meta descriptions, canonical tags, Open Graph and Twitter share previews
  • Structured data: Organization, WebSite, project and breadcrumb markup
  • FAQ content on both pages (4 company questions, 6 project questions), written from client-supplied facts
  • XML sitemap, robots.txt, custom 404 page, and server rules for HTTPS, compression and caching
  • Image preparation: cleaned and brightened frames from the client's project video, plus resized logo and photos
  • Accessibility basics: skip link, descriptive alt text, keyboard-friendly slider
  • Footer with the company's address, phone number and email, plus a leadership section update

This project's reported data does not include search rankings, traffic, enquiries or leads, since the site had only just been completed. None are claimed here. Search performance will be added once Google Search Console has enough data to report honestly.

06

What We Learned

Reading the project conservatively:

  • Source material for a company site often contains conflicting numbers. Confirming them with the client before publishing avoids putting an unverified figure on the page.
  • Splitting the company profile from the flagship project gives each page one clear job, which makes both easier for visitors and search engines to understand.
  • Frames captured from a presentation video needed real clean-up (black bars, player controls, dim brightness) before they were usable as web images.
  • Putting the same name, address, phone and email in the footer and in the structured data keeps the site consistent with the company's other listings.

What this project does not tell us: whether the new site improves rankings or brings in enquiries. That needs time and search data.

07

Next Recommendation

The site is a foundation. Reasonable next steps include:

  • Search Console: verify the site, submit the sitemap and review indexing after a few weeks
  • Google Business Profile: set up a verified profile with the same name, address and phone as the site
  • Partner links: ask technical partners to link to the company from their own websites
  • Project updates: add real site photos and progress updates to the project page as they become available
  • Enquiry tracking: measure calls, WhatsApp messages and form submissions from the start

None of these outcomes have been measured or reported. They are offered as reasonable next steps, not guaranteed results.
